The Ion iCade, our favourite April Fools’ joke turned actual product, has just undergone the FCC and moved one step in the direction of retail reality. The arcade cabinet on your iPad had all its Bluetoothy bits laid bare or even brought along its user manual, if you’re the sort who bothers to read those sordid things. There aren’t too many surprises here except, perhaps, the inclusion of an Ikea-esque hex key — some assembly required. With the golf green light from the feds, though, that implies the iCade is ideal on schedule for its May 31st release. On the way to don’t forget to nab one of many first batch, you may pre-order it now for $99 from either GameStop or ThinkGeek. And, if you watch for the blissful marriage of Atari’s Greatest Hits and Bluetooth joystick, you may peep the pics within the gallery after the break.
