President Obama could be content using a marginally outdated (though admittedly secure) BlackBerry while at the go, however it seems that he’s much more disappointed within the technology on the White House itself. Speaking at a fundraiser in Chicago this week, Obama said that “with regards to technology, we’re like 30 years behind,” and he’s not only just talking about some ancient Windows desktops left over from the former administration inside the West Wing. He went directly to complain in regards to the loss of “really cool phones and stuff,” saying, “I’m the president of the usa. Where’s the flamboyant buttons and stuff and the massive screen comes up? It doesn’t happen.” Maybe he can get a number of his new tech industry friends to assist him out with that if manages to settle in for a second term.
