T-Mobile’s Bobsled brand launches with free Facebook phone calls, even more promised soon

Looking for one more free VoIP calling option? Well, you’ve now got one anyway — T-Mobile has just announced its new Bobsled brand, and it’s kicking things off with a Facebook application in order to allow you to make free, “one-touch” calls to any of your pals everywhere. Facebook is outwardly only the start for the logo, though. T-Mobile says Bobsled is aimed toward “bridging traditional telecommunications and Internet-based voice and knowledge services,” and it says it plans to expand the service inside the near future to incorporate video chat, the power to put VoIP calls to mobile and landline phones, or even offer applications on both smartphones and tablets “whatever the carrier that powers such devices.” No word on how soon any of that will hit, but you could try the Facebook application for yourself without delay on the link below.

T-Mobile Launches Bobsled by T-Mobile – a brand new Communications Brand to Bridge the ancient Telco and IP Worlds

The logo’s Facebook calling application will provide free, one-touch calling within Facebook to greater than 500 million consumers worldwide

T-Mobile today introduced Bobsled™ by T-Mobile, a brand new brand aimed toward bridging traditional telecommunications and Internet-based voice and information services to enable people to remain connected in a straightforward and price-effective way. The 1st product available under the hot Bobsled by T-Mobile brand is the Bobsled application for Facebook, which supplies Facebook’s greater than 500 million users worldwide with free, one-touch calling to their Facebook friends from a private computer and thru the social platform’s chat window.

As well as making live voice calls around the globe, users can be ready to send voice messages to their friends either privately or via their “walls.” The Bobsled application for Facebook is out there today as a free download for all Facebook users and isn’t exclusive to T-Mobile customers. Once downloaded, customers can use the Bobsled application for Facebook to put voice calls to their friends through Facebook Chat with only one click.
