RIM acquires Tungle, might soon bridge your calendar across platforms

The BlackBerry PlayBook can be noticably lacking a calendar app of its own (a minimum of for now ), however looks as if RIM could soon have more scheduling options than ever — it’s just acquired fellow Canadian company Tungle, which makes a speciality of syncing your calendar across platforms. In the meanwhile, that’s done with either the corporate’s web application, or its iOS or BlackBerry app (an Android version has also been promised), which also can help you share your calendar with folks inside or outside your organization and, after all, tie it into your various social networks — so that you can find out about the man you’re having a gathering with, as an instance. As you may expect, however, RIM is staying mum on exactly what it has in mind for the corporate, and it also isn’t divulging any specific terms of the purchase.
