Everyone is getting on board with Square’s iPhone bank card reader — Apple started selling the device in its stores last week, or even Visa has taken a financial interest within the company. However, because of the acclaim for fraud-fighting chip-enabled smart cards at the other side of the pond, Square’s offering doesn’t quite fit the bill. iZettle has an analogous solution for Europe featuring the ever-so-necessary smart card reader, which the corporate is launching in Sweden this June. Not just does it help you accept bank card payments from friends or customers, the app adds a social twist. Merchants can email a photo and receipt to buyers, who can then share their latest spoils on Facebook . After all , if this starts to catch on, it could actually make explaining that “awesome deal” you scored on a brand new laptop that rather more difficult when it pops up in your companion’s news feed.
