Panasonic will layoff 40,000 workers globally

Irrespective of the way you slice it, 40,000 is a huge number, especially when its forty-thousand humans searching for jobs. The layoffs represent a ten percent reduction of Panasonic’s 380,000 global workforce by reason of restructuring efforts, consistent with Nikkei. They’re expected to start this year and can mainly impact employees outside of Japan.
