Don’t you hate it once you preorder something and it doesn’t appear for, like, a year? We all know of in any case 960 early adopters who can feel your pain. The Pivot Power strip , which allows you to rearrange six outlets to plug in adapters of any size, went on sale in June of last year for $23 a pop. But, since the community-driven website Quirky is selling it, the ordering process wasn’t so simple as paying and awaiting it to reveal up in your doorstep: the corporate would only ship them when 960 people “committed” to purchasing them — not unlike how a undeniable variety of individuals are had to activate a Groupon deal. Well, finally, Quirky has met its goal and Jake Zien, the inventor (that’s that giddy fellow up there) couldn’t be more pleased. Interestingly, after we first reported at the Pivot Power strip’s availability, greater than 1/2 those pre-sale slots had already been filled, so we are not sure just what took see you later. Finally, in case you missed the boat the primary time, it seems like there might still be additional units up on the market.
