Windows Phone Mango augmented reality hands-on

We’re still waiting to get our first big bite of the complete Mango experience after this morning’s liveblog , but we were in a position to get a brief hands-on with among the apps utilizing the operating system’s new features. Chief among them is the History Channel app, that’s applying the augmented reality features which were enabled. Using the interior gyro and accelerometer the device was ready to overlay landmarks, which with a faucet may be added to the phones home screen — you already know, if you actually need to grasp what’s up on the Brooklyn Bridge. We also got a glance on the updated Weather Channel app, as a way to not identify cloud types using any augmented reality trickery, but provide you with quick and straightforward access to what is up — and about to begin falling.
