There is a pretty widespread outage of Skype taking place right this minute, judging by the explosion of tweets with regards to it. It is not universal, as we’ve been ready to log in and use the web communicator for both text and video chat, but something’s definitely gone wrong. Thus far, we’ve noticed our OS X machines are ticking along just fine, but our Windows computers aren’t. Importantly, we needed to upgrade one in every of our Windows desktops to “break” Skype, which indicates it can be a fault inside the latest version, but nevertheless, it may have simply been only a case of terrible timing.
