Love your iPhone, but hate all the PC-based tethering it entails? Apple has some excellent news: the corporate is taking its “post-PC” stance a step further, letting you activate your smartphone straight out of the box without syncing it to a working laptop or computer. Also big news is the addition of over-the-air updates, a good way to permit you to receive changes without plugging the handset in. And a few big news for music fans: users might be in a position to sync their iTunes libraries over WiFi connections with the update.
