What is the point of a robot disguised as a tank or, uh, a clothes dryer ? Whenever you actually need to infiltrate human society, you wish to have robots which may hide in plain sight. Thankfully for would-be robotic conquerors, Ron Tajima brings us the aptly named CanBot, which hides batteries, an embedded control board, and 3 RC-servo legs beneath its beer-can exterior. Tajimi controls it with a Wiimote, and within the video above you will discover it walking and rolling. His son seems lower than impressed, but he probably sees these things for all time. We’re mightily excited, and watch for picking up a six pack. Of robots.
