HP reportedly in talks with major labels over cloud-based service

We’ve already seen some rumors of a cloud-syncing music store for the HP TouchPad, let alone talk of ” Music Synergy ,” and it now seems like there might be some more movement on that front. In keeping with Billboard.biz, HP’s discussions with the key record labels a couple of cloud-based service of a few sort are actually “heating up,” although that apparently doesn’t suggest a real launch is imminent. One major label exec told Billboard that the service may be “something like Qriocity for various media, which might be delivered on any HP device,” but added that “we do not know the way serious they’re,” which is not exactly an encouraging thing to listen to. That uncertainty was echoed by other unnamed sources, who were reportedly unsure about how quickly HP could launch this sort of service (no less than six months away, in response to some), while an additional said that HP remains “attempting to narrow down what their service will appear to be.”
