JVC Kaboom adds a guitar input, dares you to get the band back together

New audio input capabilities are nothing new for JVC , but soon it is easy to blow their own horns your guitar chops alongside whatever bands you decide to idolize — as long as you’re kosher with rocking a boombox atop your left shoulder, for sure. The corporate has announced that the 2011 offering from its Kaboom line will showcase a guitar / microphone input (1/4-inch) with mixing capabilities to permit for gigs to be played from anywhere you darn well please. The RV-NB70 can have each of the key ingredients of previous models, including an iPod dock (updated to be both iPod and iPhone compatible), a USB host that allows use of a mass storage device, an audio input and CD / radio playback. 06.15.2011– The JVC Kaboom! is back and equipped with more features than ever. The legendary boombox, first launched in 1998 and renowned for its high power and sturdiness, remains true to its heritage while adding a guitar/microphone input with mixing capabilities for fast and straightforward performance-style music enjoyment virtually anywhere.

The brand new JVC RV-NB70 Kaboom!, available now, boasts 40 watts of power and retains the unique version’s general design – a big cylindrical shape with a woofer at each end. Bass enhancement circuitry ensures room-rattling low frequency performance. For 2011, a dock for iPod® is now for iPod/iPhone®, protected behind a sealing door to avoid damage from the weather. USB Host allows playback of MP3/WMA music stored on a USB mass storage device.

Additionally, the RV-NB70 features a CD player which can handle MP3 and WMA file playback, and an FM tuner. An audio input makes it easy to attach other devices and luxuriate in them in the course of the powerful Kaboom! sound system.

Kaboom! offers both AC and DC operation and incorporates a shoulder strap, which, in conjunction with the handheld remote control, makes it ideal for out of doors activities.
