There are three things with the intention to guarantee your DIY project some attention: slap it on a Roomba , base it on Adruino , or make it tweet. Do all three and, well, you could have a nerdgasm-inducing little bit of Make fodder. The creation you notice above is an online-controlled tweeting Roomba whipped up by Instructables member matchlighter using a 500 series vacuum bot and the Sparkfun WiFly shield for Arduino. The autonomous cleaner is also triggered from anywhere there’s a web connection and updates Twitter to maintain you abreast of its status (Ahh! Dock sweet dock). While Mr. matchlighter was kind enough provide directions for building your personal, most of the actual coding is left as much as you. (We’re lazy, allow us to just copy and paste dammit!)
