NetTalk joins forces with LightSquared, enters the cellular arena MagicJack rival NetTalk is planning to crawl out of the infomercial doldrums and launch its own, branded LTE wireless service using LightSquared . See, when the cellular wholesaler is completed taking away GPS signals it plans to sell space on its network to other companies who will then advertise to consumers — and NetTalk desires to be a type of companies. Obviously, offering mobile voice and knowledge is new territory for the VoIP provider but, as always, more competition at the cellular scene is extremely welcome. LightSquared and netTALK Sign Longer term 4G-LTE Wholesale Agreement

RESTON, VA and MIAMI, FL — June 28, 2011 — LightSquared™, the nation’s first wholesale-only integrated 4G-LTE wireless broadband and satellite network, and netTALK.COM, INC. Under this agreement, netTALK becomes a wholesale customer on LightSquared’s 4G-LTE network, and could develop its own branded voice and high-speed mobile data services for its customers.
