It’s hard to assume on this era of instant electronic gratification, but patience was a virtue, and sitting still for 3 or so minutes while a magic box printed up a picture of our likenesses probably didn’t appear to be all that much of a chore. Niklas Roy, who gave the area a collection of robotic curtains last year, is offering up the arguably mistitled Electronic Instant Camera, a throwback to these days, requiring its subjects to take a seat still because it prints their black and white image onto receipt paper. Because of its paltry internal storage (1KB), the camera can only remember a single line at a time, dumping the former because it captures the following. Perhaps you should use the time it takes to get through a shot for somewhat self-reflection — otherwise you can just watch a YouTube video, just like the one after the break.
