LaCie’s Thunderbolt-equipped Little Big Disk sees apparent shipping delay

LaCies Thunderbolt-equipped Little Big Disk sees apparent shipping delay Remember long ago in February when Thunderbolt was unveiled ? Shocking though it could be, a 10Gbps interconnect is useless without peripherals, and thankfully Promise and LaCie also announced compatible drives touting Q2 / summer availability. As promised, Promise’s wares released as expected alongside Apple’s T-bolt cable , but LaCie’s Little Big Disk have been curiously absent. Because it seems, the company’s website was quietly updated and now reflects a winter 2011 release for these Intel 510 SSD-packable drives, that’s close to enough to force a FOF onto even the happiest of faces. Still antsy to select one up? Better plan to bypass Santa’s naughty list — at this point, waitin’ and wishin’ is ready all you are able to do.

[Thanks, Mikhail]

3D printers, 3D scanners and robotics are frequently good enough all alone to get us inquisitive about something, but a team of researchers at Drexel University have played a further big trump card with their latest project -- they've thrown dinosaurs into the mixture. As you can most likely surmise, that project involves using a 3D scanner to create models of dinosaur bones, that are… »
