We’re here at Sprint’s monolithic campus in Overland Park, and portion of our day was spent speaking directly with CEO Dan Hesse. Amongst other things, the bigwig confessed that it were awhile since his company (or Clearwire) had launched a 4G market. While Verizon Wireless was pushing out LTE to new cities on what seems like a fortnightly basis, there’s been nary a WiMAX deployment within the US during 2011. But that, friends, is gearing as much as change. In step with Hesse: “We are going to pop out with an awesome story this autumn around 4G, and it will all become clear.” He seemed curiously serious about whatever’s round the bend, and Sprint’s VP of Product Development, Fared Adib, seemed similarly giddy in regards to the following few months. Neither of ‘em would crack on what markets can be addressed or what tactics will be used to check rivals in relation to 4G reach, but regardless of the case, we’re guessing Sprint users should be an awful lot happier with their service when they get throughout the summertime blues.
