Khepera swarm robots discover ways to build a mobile quadrocopter landing platform (video)

Last we saw the Khepera swarm robots from the Georgia Robotics and Intelligent Systems lab, they were just starting to learn the way move in formation and spell out “GRITS” at the floor. Well, these bots are growing up fast. The lab’s latest video shows a set of 4 of the robots following a pacesetter, and arranging themselves to form a mobile landing platform for a hovering quadrocopter — a feat they have the ability to make seem easy. What’s going to they believe of next? We’re just a little scared to invite.
