IOGEAR USB Sharing Station connects to WiFi, cuts the cord on four of your devices

You’re so over corded gadgets, but you cannot justify replacing every device in the home with a pricier wireless version simply because being leashed to a USB printer or external hard disk drive is a slight inconvenience. We get it, and it looks as if IOGEAR does too. The peripheral company’s Wireless 4-port USB Sharing Station makes any connected gadget WiFi-enabled, letting you wander far-off from those desktop devices without dropping your connection. The compact hub includes one USB 2.0 port at the front and 3 at the rear, at the side of an Ethernet port and wireless antenna, and it’s compatible with a number of USB gadgets, including printers, hard drives, memory card readers, scanners, and webcams. Oh, but why would that you have to wander away from your webcam, you ask? A remote webcam may be used as an instant, inexpensive home security system, providing access from anywhere within your wireless network. Sure, $100 could seem like plenty to spend on a wireless USB hub, but considering the price of WiFi-enabling four individual devices, it’s probably how one can go.
