Samsung unveils WB750 camera, with long zoom for your entire paparazzi needs

Sometimes a photographer must get really, really near to his or her subject. And often that requires a bit help from a chum. Samsung has just that situation in mind with its new WB750, which features an 18x optical zoom with 24x Smart Zoom — that is the longest zoom within the company’s compact portfolio. The camera also sports a 12.5 megapixel CMOS sensor with Sammie’s proprietary BSI (Back Side Illuminated) technology, and a redesigned image sensor, lens, and image processor. Along with still photos, it also shoots 1080p HD video; a dual capture function lets you shoot video alongside 10 megapixel pictures. Or, if you’d rather, you may absorb to ten frames per second in high-speed continuous mode. Pricing and availability haven’t yet been announced, but we’ve got our fingers crossed it arrives before our next safari. Featuring a newly-redesigned image sensor, lens and image processor, the WB750 brings to bear a number new technologies to deliver unprecedented levels of performance and straightforwardness-of-use. The WB750 also features an 18x optical zoom with 24x Smart Zoom technology, making it the longest ever zoom in Samsung’s compact camera portfolio.

Due to its 12.5 Megapixel BSI CMOS sensor, with the WB750 it’s easier than ever to provide consistently high-quality images and video. Introduced to Samsung’s compact camera range for the 1st time, this pioneering BSI CMOS technology works to noticeably reduce image noise and distortion, delivering clear, precise photos and video even in low light conditions. The WB750 offers users the easiest of both worlds: high-quality digital photos in addition to Full HD video for incredible depth of color and detail.
