In accordance with Reuters, however, the provider also is engaged on a settlement offer, within the hopes of bypassing the courtroom altogether. Sources almost the problem say AT&T will soon present its proposal to antitrust regulators, who’re concerned that the company’s purchase of T-Mobile may hinder market competition. Details at the proposal remain vague, though it should likely include promises to maintain T-Mobile’s low-cost data and calling plans, consisting of pledges to unload a number of its own assets. But some insiders say the carrier can have to sell as much as 25 percent of T-Mobile’s business so one can put regulators’ minds comfortable.
