Leave it to James Dyson to provide your ordinary household appliance a brand new spin. Tonight in Ny city, Mr. Dyson took to the stage which will properly unveil his latest gizmo — the $399.99 Dyson Hot AM04. As its name suggests, here is the company’s latest fan Air Multiplier , but with a ceramic coal heating element to maintain your toes toasty. On those muggy summer days, you will get your room right down to a frigid 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and when the the winter’s bitter cold hits, you can actually hit 99 degrees — caliente. The unit is designed just like a jet’s wing, bringing air in from its bottom grills and amplifying it six times because it soars out throughout the ducts.

Interestingly enough, we’re told that the heating element stays at one preset temperature, measuring the room until it reaches the extent you tell it to. As you’d expect, an inbuilt safety mechanism flips the whole lot off if it tips over. With its tiltable base or an included IR remote, possible change the temperature, choose from ten fan speeds and set it into an oscillation mode. Better yet, the remote magnetically clings to the head of the unit — perfect in case you are at risk of losing things. Dyson Hot™ fan heater warms the entire room faster than any other

Conventional heaters have limited settings. Like a watched pot that never boils, they can not always heat a complete room quickly. Meanwhile central heating is usually wasted most likely house while you only need heat a room. Dyson Hot™ is engineered to heat the full room faster than another.

Dyson Hot™ could be set between 32 and 99 degrees Fahrenheit to heat a room. An intelligent thermostat keeps it there. Dyson Hot™ monitors the room temperature by measuring surrounding air. If a drop is detected, the heater turns back directly to maintain the set temperature.

It took 22 engineers – including experts in thermo dynamics and fluid mechanics – over three years to investigate, develop and test Dyson’s patented Air Multiplier™ technology for its application in a heater.

The way it works: Using patented Air Multiplier™ technology, air is drawn in through a mixed flow impeller, a mix of the technologies utilized in turbochargers and jet engines. It’s then accelerated through a 2.5mm aperture set in the loop amplifier. This creates a jet of hot air which passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp channelling its direction. Surrounding air is drawn into the airflow, amplifying it six times in a process often called inducement and entrainment.

Security measures: Dyson Hot™ has low surface temperatures throughout and no visible heating elements. And if tipped over, the machine was engineered to automatically cut out.

Handheld remote control: Turning the Dyson Hot™ off and on, adjusting temperature, airflow rate and controlling oscillation is additionally done easily from across a room. The handheld remote control is curved and magnetised to store neatly on top of the machine.

Precision: Dyson Hot™ has temperature controls and an intelligent thermostat. Variable airflow and oscillation is controlled either by remote or at the front of the machine.

Cooling fan: Unlike conventional heaters it has a dual-mode function as a cooling fan. In line with Dyson’s Air Multiplier™ range it couples high airflow and velocity.
