Sprint says no to iPhone insurance, AppleCare+ breathes sigh of relief

The Now Network is outwardly voting thumbs-all the way down to the theory of getting its Total Equipment Protection plans available to its new crown jewel . In accordance with a leaked slide courtesy of SprintFeed, your shiny Sprint-branded iPhone 4S (or 4) won’t be offered with a healthy part of peace of mind; rather, you will have to buy the AppleCare+ Protection Plan or pass through a 3rd party to have any protection from accidental damage. This might change down the street, because the slide says it won’t be offered “at launch,” but only time will tell. Unfortunate, yes, but we suppose there’s always a bright side — a minimum of there’s now a Sprint iPhone not to have insurance for, right?
