HTC: We’re reviewing Ice Cream Sandwich and determining our plans

Samsung was awarded a precious head start in its upgrade route to Android 4.0 , but how will its competition respond? HTC can have one of the difficult jobs ahead, because it has integrated its Sense UI so deeply into the core Android user experience, but that does not mean the OEM isn’t determining the most effective road it can take to get to the land of Ice Cream Sandwiches. The corporate released an official statement following this evening’s announcement to substantiate that it’s looking over the update’s new features and functionality, knowing the right way to make it happen without forcing sacrifices to the usability and function of every HTC product. We’ll have an interest to determine what it comes up with, as the various UI elements popular in Sense seem to now be part of the stock ICS functionality. The corporate was careful to not decide to the brand new Android, nor did it give any particular timeframe or roadmap within the process. Investigate the entire statement below:

We’re curious about the most recent update for Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, and are currently reviewing its features and functionality to figure out our upgrade plans. Our goal for Android updates is to offer every customer a much better user experience, because of this balancing each phone’s unique hardware, HTC Sense experience and the Android kernel. While our goal is to upgrade as lots of our recent devices as possible, we’re committed to maintaining every phone’s performance and usefulness first. Please stay tuned for more updates on specific device upgrade plans.
