Motorola locks RAZR bootloader, angers ROM-happy lovers of anorexic handsets

Just like the Droid 3 before it, Motorola’s Droid RAZR may be shipping with a locked bootloader — despite the company’s promise to begin unlocking its handsets. Sure, the Atrix is ripe for the hacking , but it surely sounds like Verizon really doesn’t want Moto encouraging its customers to begin mucking around with custom ROMs. The official Motorola Mobility Twitter account says the RAZR bootload is locker per the carrier’s request. It is a shame, but we’re sure this can be just a temporary roadblock. If it takes greater than a month to crack this bad boy we’ll be shocked.
