RED makes the Scarlet DSMC official, 5K stills and 4K video for $9,750

It has been quite an afternoon for all you cine-philes accessible. First Canon outed its pair of EOS Cinema cameras, and now RED has finally released the Epic’s baby sister Scarlet . Scarlet packs an analogous punch as her older brother, so she will shoot 5k (5120 x 2700) resolution stills at 12fps, or shoot your next cinematic masterpiece in 4K at 25fps. The d Scarlet can even use all the Epic’s accessories and is derived with a Canon mount so that you have lots of glass to choose between, too. Better of all, Scarlet could be all yours for the low cost of $9,750. That’s right, for the cost of a used Honda Civic, you’re able to shoot video that essentially looks nearly as good as those made by pros like Peter Jackson and John Shwartzman.
