Logitech Alert Video Security System gets Dropbox support, enables you to park 100GB of footage within the cloud

We liked Logitech’s Alert Video Security System once we took it for every week-long spin last year, which at that time allowed remote access to live HD camera footage, and video stored in your PC. But a brand new partnership with Dropbox adds cloud storage to the equation, letting you boot video on to the online to supplement the computer- and microSD-based options already in place. Packages come in today, and are available with 2GB of storage at no cost, 50GB for $10 per 30 days or 100GB for $20 per thirty days — Logitech isn’t exactly making a gift of the service, but if you think about that a bare-bones Alert system costs $300, those virtual add-ons sound a bit of more reasonable. Jump past the break for the entire rundown from Logitech, and prepare to support those passwords — having your email account hacked is something, but you definitely don’t need anyone watching you at home, in real-time or the past.
