Google Checkout merges with Google Wallet, completing the inevitable

In a move that has “common-sense” written around the globe it, the people over at Mountain View have decided to merge Google Checkout with Google Wallet . The wedding hardly comes as a surprise, in view that both services serve essentially an identical purpose — namely, storing all of your payment information in a single neat little package. To make things even tidier, Big G has just folded Checkout into Wallet, on the way to soon be integrated throughout the Android Market, YouTube and Google+ Games, to boot. In consequence, the Checkout moniker will vanish from the Earth, but current users would be capable of seamlessly switch over to Wallet the subsequent time they log in to their accounts or make a web-based purchase.
