Acer Iconia Tab A200 gets sentimental, strengthens families and makes video debut

Acer wants you to understand that Apple doesn’t have a monopoly on sappy tech commercials — no Siri, Bob! The Taiwanese manufacturer desires to run with the large boys in relation to overselling the emotional power of a gadget. Take, for example, this promotional clip for the approaching Iconia Tab A200 . Yes, we remember the fact that the ten-inch slate can play games and “share memories” but, what exactly Honeycomb has to do with creating family rituals or why you’d bring a tablet camping is lost on us. Sadly, the clip doesn’t reveal an excessive amount of about Acer’s new slab. We will see that vanilla Android is out, just by observing the navigation icons, and there is a new feature called Acer Ring, which seems to be some variety of task manager with shortcuts to common tasks, like taking screenshots. It also seems to be sporting a whole-sized USB port and a microSD slot but, otherwise, we’ve still got little or no info at the spec front. Take a look at the video after the break.

[Thanks, Manuel]
