A robot equipped with stereoscopic vision and a few object and facial recognition programs opens up a complete variety of different possibilities, but few quite as interesting as what happens if you happen to place said robot in front of a mirror. It took somewhat guidance (and no question a little prep), however the open source Qbo robot was quickly in a position to both recognize and learn how to identify himself when he was recently placed in only this kind of situation.
