Gowalla confirms move to Facebook, service to close down in January

In accordance with the corporate, the Gowalla service itself could be winding down on the end of January, and the team will instead focus all in their attention on developing Facebook features (namely, Timeline ). Gowalla’s Josh Williams also assures users that their personal information isn’t part of the purchase, although the corporate would be providing users with how to export their Passport data and other information.
