It appears like Nokia has finally grown weary of the only percent. Based on a report from the Financial Times, the Finnish manufacturer is calling to unload its Vertu line of luxury handsets, as portion of the firm’s ongoing restructuring process. Citing a source “conversant in the method,” the FT went directly to explain that Goldman Sachs is overseeing the sale, though it’s still in a nascent stage of development. The emblem has reportedly attracted the interest of unnamed private equity firms, though the similar insider claims that luxury goods vendors may toss their hats within the ring, to boot. Neither Nokia nor Goldman have commented at the report, but we’ll make sure to inform you once they do.
