The Google Wallet competitor seems to be gaining momentum, because the three carriers have pumped $100 million into the initiative, and several other OEMs have pledged to support the service of their phones. Isis also went directly to discuss that its focus cannot be entirely at the mobile wallet; it’ll offer some other NFC-related services , reminiscent of smart posters which could beam coupons and tickets for your phone, using your handset as a key to get access to an office or home, and storing your train or bus tickets. Gemalto to offer Isis Mobile Commerce Platform with Trusted Service Manager (TSM) Solution
Austin, December 12, 2011 – Gemalto, the realm leader in digital security, was selected by Isis to secure its mobile commerce platform through Gemalto’s Allynis Trusted Service Manager (TSM) solution. Isis, the mobile commerce three way partnership between AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless, will provide consumers and merchants with an open and secure mobile commerce platform which will revolutionize how consumers shop, pay and save.

Consumers would be ready to securely pay, present loyalty cards, and redeem coupons all with a faucet in their phones.
