Swype won’t initially be available on Ice Cream Sandwich, but it’s inside the works

Swipers won’t be swiping on Ice Cream Sandwich … at the least, not for some time. Swype tweeted the above message, indicating that the third-party keyboard company has its work cut out for it. It seems that Android changed things up this time around, including how it reports screen resolution — a very important element to a keyboard, which naturally would cause an organization like Swype somewhat of grief. No timeframe for availability was set, but don’t panic you probably have to stay with the stock ‘board in your up to date Galaxy Nexus for a spell.
