iPhones, iPod Touches still on iOS 3.1.3 can’t download new apps directly from the App Store

iPhones, iPod Touches still on iOS 3.1.3 cant download new apps directly from the App Store While fragmentation is a unprecedented(r) problem on iOS there’s still a whole lot of users rocking older versions on their devices. Unfortunately for them, ever since a up to date update at the 16th they haven’t been ready to download any new apps from the App Store straight to their devices. While users of older iPod Touches and iPhones stuck on 3.1.3 by choice or incompatibility with newer OSes can still update the apps they have already got and transfer software from iTunes on a pc, they can not buy or install new ones directly from the device. We were capable of confirm the difficulty on one among our own devices, while there is a pretty lengthy thread in Apple’s support forum in regards to the issue, but no official response yet. We’ll keep you posted if word comes that it truly is only a glitch or if the corporate has decided to depart those old versions at the outside looking in.

[Thanks, Domo]

The 1st one may only amount to a MiFi housed within the dash (although that does come standard), but automaker Proton and Malaysian carrier Yes appear to have some fairly grand designs on 4G-connected cars. As well as providing a WiFi hotpot for passengers, they eventually hope to exploit the 4G connectivity for a number of automotive-related applications, including vehicle… »
