Amazon’s latest try to lock down root access on its Kindle Fire have been, well, routed. It took the tinkerers mere days to catch up and the recent root file is now up for grabs, courtesy of Android Police and some good devs. The tactic is app-based and appears to be disarmingly simple, however the usual warnings apply; reduce to rubble those software internals and bam, you’ve voided your warranty.
