Scarab self-driven police chase assistant

Remember the Terminator Motorcycles that were a blast in Terminator Salvation? Well, they are basically the evil version of the Scarab self-driven police chase assistant concept you see here. Designed by Carl Archambeault, the Scarab is a 100% electric self-driven robotic chase assistant which hopes to lower the number of police causalities in high speed chases. Being lightweight and compact to help it be extra zippy, this zero-emission vehicle will sit idle beside a patrol car, and whenever a speeding vehicle is detected, the officer in charge of the Scarab “tags” the speeding vehicle with a radar gun. Once tagged, a signal is sent to Scarab for it to hunt the offending vehicle down like a relentless bloodhound. Bear in mind the Scarab has no weapons on it, but we do not rule out the possibility of it being equipped with an EMP-type device to disable speeding drivers who are adamant on not co-operating.

Conceptual Xbox 1080 handheld beautifully merges Xbox and Zune

Carl Archambeault: you sir, are a champion. We’re not exactly sure if you’re on a first-class seat to Redmond or not, but the boys and girls in Washington could probably stand to learn a thing or two from the Xbox 1080. ‘Course, that’s probably just the fanboy in us talking — after all, who wouldn’t want the powers of an Xbox 360 and a Zune HD merged into one beautiful handheld? — but could you imagine the market shakeup if this thing became real? Paging Mr. Benjamin J. Heckendorn!
