LG Cookie Fresh GS290 announced

LG’s latest touchscreen handset, the Cookie Fresh GS290 has just been announced officially, where it will continue from where the highly successful Cookie left off with more than 12 million units sold. The Cookie Fresh is somewhat similar to the Cookie Plus, coming with a 3″ WQVGA touchscreen display, a cartoonish user interface, social networking integration to keep up with the times, an integrated FM radio, a 2-megapixel camera and a 3.5mm headset jack. There won’t be any 3G connectivity with this puppy. Those who are interested can look out for the Cookie Fresh in Europe later this month for a yet unknown price.

Sure, you have to sacrifice a little and look quite weird wearing the interface device on your head (as well as your nose), but you’ll be able to play pinball without moving your hands! The headset and nose strap reads your brain waves, and after you’ve going through a little training with it, getting used to your brain waves being read like that, you should be able to become a handsfree-pinball champ in no time.

SteelSeries 6Gv2 keyboard and 7H headset

SteelSeries has graced CeBIT with a couple of new devices, with the 6Gv2 keyboard and 7H headset going under the spotlight. The former comes with a luxurious 18-karat gold-plated mechanical switches which are touted to obtain faster reaction times as well as supporting advanced key combinations for a higher number of actions per minute. Available for pre-order on Amazon for $99.99, this is more pricey than normal. As for the luxurious SteelSeries 7H headset, this over-ear model comes with a couple of ear-cup choices, hear-through cloth, and noise dampening leather. Sony’s gaming headset rocks the modern design
Sony just launched a new gaming headset line in Asia, and they look nice. I’m not entirely sure how comfortable they are based on the rendering, but they certainly look lighter than most headsets. Expect to see them in Asia this month, and hopefully Sony will bring them over to us sooner rather then later. No word on pricing at this time.
Review: Klipsch Image X10i Headset
The Short Version: Definitely the best sounding consumer-grade in-ear headphones I’ve ever listened to. The price tag matches the sound quality however. If you want good audio fidelity on your phone headset, you’ll be hard pressed to find something better than these. Just be prepared to shell out some serious cash.

Sony reveals new headsets

Sony has quietly rolled out a new range of headsets which are not only stylish but attractive as well, where they comprise of the DR-350USB, DR-320DPV and DR-310DPV models. All three will hit the Asia Pacific market sometime this month, with the DR-350USB as seen on the right leading the pack. This is Sony’s new high end USB PC headset, where it will come in black, gold and red colors, sporting a 30mm driver unit in the headset, an integrated microphone and a detachable “voice tube”. As for the DR-320DPV, this model lacks USB connectivity and targets gamers and music lovers. Last but not least would be the DR-310DPV which ought to appeal to the young and trendy, with its microphone stored within the headset itself while boasting separate volume control and mute buttons.

SteelSeries announced two products today, a headset and rather interesting looking keyboard. Both products are very much gamer-centric, with specialized features to make them of particular interest for the hard core LAN party player.
W Phone Watch chock full of features

The W Phone Watch offers budding Dick Tracys to communicate using their timepiece instead of relying on a regular candybar handset. After all, this wristwatch also boasts a quad band cellphone, a VGA camera, an integrated MP3 player, a microSD memory card slot, Bluetooth connectivity, a color touchscreen display and a Bluetooth headset for you to chat away while you’re driving without getting a ticket. It comes $199.99 unlocked, so you’re free to choose your own network service provider.

Turtle Beach Ear Force X11 headset

Averatec N1200 netbook

The Averatec N1200 netbook sports a 10.1″ display with 1,024 x 600 resolution, coupled with a pair of speakers, a 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and an Intel Atom N450 processor – you know, the usual drill. Apart from that, it is also equipped with a couple of USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, a webcam, VGA out, a multi-memory card reader and both microphone and headset connections. Expect Windows 7 to be the operating system of choice, and if you decide to bring this puppy home, do take note that its battery seems to be limited to just 3200mAh which won’t bring you very far if you tend to travel a whole lot without any power outlet in sight.
